Description
I'm doing my own art challenge over on Tumblr, where I'm gonna draw my one favorite character in each Disney animated film, chronologically from Snow White all the way to Wreck-It Ralph. It's gonna be over 40 characters, but it gives me something to do.
First up from Snow White, it's GRUMPY!
While I do like the other Dwarfs like Doc and Dopey, I like Grumpy the most. I don’t know if it’s because of his attitude, his design or if I relate to him (hopefully not), but even for a stick in the mud, he’s a very entertaining character. He almost is like the cynical critic of his own movie, commenting on the ridiculousness of it all. And compared to the rest of the characters, Snow White included, he has the most emotional development. Surprise, surprise!
Superbly animated by the likes of Bill Tytla, Fred Moore and Frank Thomas, and voiced by Pinto Colvig (who also was the voice of Goofy and was the original Bozo the Clown).
